Here we will bring you the top 10 defenseman in NHL 17

NHL 17 is the 26th instalment in EA’s puck-slapping series, and the third edition on current-gen machines after the series launched for PS4 and Xbox One with NHL 15. New modes include the eight-team World Cup Of Hockey and Draft Champions – a fantasy spin-off of Ultimate Team. As well as the returning ‘HUT’, franchise mode gets revamped, with team owners and relocation now among its major features. On the AI side, improved physics and player intelligence are two major priorities of dev team EA Canada.

EA Sports’ award-winning hockey video game franchise returns in just a few weeks when “NHL 17” hits stores Tuesday, Sept. 13. Vladimir Tarasenko of the St. Louis Blues is the cover athlete, and he’s the second-highest-rated right winger in the game behind reigning Hart Trophy winner Patrick Kane. The top 10 rated players at each position were released by EA Sports this week. There are some weird, and quite frankly, bad, ratings assigned in this game. And here we will bring you the TOP 10 defenseman in NHL 17:

10. Dustin Byfuglien – 91 overall
9. P.K. Subban – 91 overall
8. Marc-Edouard Vlasic – 91 overall
7. Victor Hedman – 92 overall
6. Brent Burns – 92 overall
5. Erik Karlsson – 92 overall
4. Ryan Suter – 93 overall
3. Duncan Keith – 93 overall
2. Shea Weber – 94 overall
1. Drew Doughty – 94 overall

We will choose someone to analyse their ratings. There are six categories when determining rating attributes: Puck Skills, Senses, Shooting, Defense, Skating, and Physicality. Dustin Byfuglien, P.K. Subban and Marc-Edouard Vlasic is all at 91 points. At 6’5 and 260 lbs, Dustin Byfuglien lives up to the nickname of Big Buff. The 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs helped establish Marc-Edouard Vlasic as one of the best defensive defenseman in the league. But it seems P.K. Subban is potential. The newly acquired Nashville Predator is one of the most dynamic offensive talents in the NHL. Subban is able to create scoring opportunities thanks in large part to his 5-star skating ability and heavy (91) Slap Shot Power rating. He also has the ability to land devastating hits with a (89) Body Checking rating.

For the best 94 overall, Drew Doughty is the top rated defenseman in NHL 17. He is a big time minute muncher with a (92) Endurance rating and can have an impact in all three zones with 5-star puck skills, skating, senses and defense. And Shea Weber is in increasing stage. With 5-star senses, defense and physical ability, Shea Weber strikes fear into his opponent’s every time he steps onto the ice. He can overpower players in front of the net with his (93) Strength and (92) Body Checking rating. In the offensive zone, he possesses the heaviest shot in NHL 17, with a (95) Slap Shot Power rating.
